Dr. RACHEL MCKuRAS, OD

Dr. Rachel McKuras was born in Anderson, IN, grew up in Indiana and Illinois, and graduated from Mahomet-Seymour High School in Mahomet, IL. She attended Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, IN, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in Biology Pre-Medicine. She graduated from the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI with highest distinction. While there, Dr. McKuras was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa optometric honor society. She completed a one-year residency in neuro-ocular rehabilitation and ocular disease at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI. She is grateful to have been a part of missions bringing eyecare to areas with poor access including to Ukraine (August 2021), Guyana (August 2022), and Dominica (May 2024).

She is a member of the American Academy of Optometry and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. McKuras and her husband, Camden, have been married since 2019. Camden is also a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University with a bachelor’s in Christian Ministry and a master’s in Practical Theology. They attend Overflow Church in Benton Harbor, MI.
